  3. Announcements & Updates
    1. 2022-2023 Chair Elections (Duties)
      1. No new nominations. Maryann can try to wait until fall to see if she would like to step up as chair.
      2. Charlene can go to summer CSF if needed.
        1. Discussion about what in-person CSF meetings may look like next year.
      3. Andy and Charlene discuss being co-chairs next year.
      4. Maryann nominates Andy and Charlene to co-chair SFAC next year.
        1. Both accept nominations.
        2. Vote: Unanimous. 7 Yes, 0 No.
    2. Funding call improvements for next year (finalized allocations)
    3. Campus budget presentation, college carryovers (last week)
      1. Brynna shares with the group that their time on SFAC has given language and knowledge about how to communicate campus fees.
      2. Brynna says that other UC campus SFACs have different purviews, such as inviting stewards regularly to meet with the committee.
    4. Volunteer to help Brynna with individual letters
    5. SSF commitment of $250k-$300k
    6. Council on Student Fees Spring Meeting - Sat June 4 11am-3pm
    7. Other announcements
      1. Merrill Cultural Center 6-8pm, "Destress or Die"
  4. End-of-year Debrief
    1. What have people learned?
      1. Mathew shares he’s learned more about the university’s systems, and wants to share it with others.
      2. Charlene shares that she has realized how much she cares about these topics.
      3. Lisa shares that her perspective has changed since working with students more. She now feels even more so that she represents students.
      4. Brynna shares that she had a different experience talking to non-SFAC people about SFAC.
      5. Gloria saw how SFAC’s values can be translated into the communities served, how to break barriers to education and success, and allocating fees as a statement towards equity. Shoutout to Brynna’s energy!
    2. Any niche skills you have developed?
      1. Alvin has learned more about starting and facilitating conversations.
    3. Has your time on SFAC added context to broader UCSC, UC, or nationwide issues?
    4. Has SFAC affected your plans for getting involved in the future?

    6. Saying goodbye to members who aren’t returning + welcoming Maryann as Vice Chair and [you] as Chair
